Robert Collinson - A storyteller at heart
Even as a young child Robert Collinson would conjure up stories with his imagination, sharing them with anyone who would listen. He has developed his storytelling and writing quite a bit since then, but the thrill of language and creation he first discovered as a child has never gone away.
He has been writing since the inclination first struck him back in 2016 on his first solo road trip around Thailand, during which time he pondered his future and decided to start on something new. He realised that he only had two meaningful things in his life, his music (and his love of guitars) and his memories.
On his return home, he began by writing a huge novel which as yet, remains unpublished, It was only more recently (2020) that his experiences in Kazakhstan led to the creation of Zhetybay. He continues to write and followed up by completing the sequel, simply called "Zhanna" which is now also published. Apart from that, he has written many short stories, some based on true events, and others that originate from his imagination and touch the realms of fantasy.
